    A Research-Based Approach 2-Day Seminar

  • Chris Cambas, LMFT, Certified Gottman Therapist and Trainer

Working with couples is a challenging endeavor …. It can also be deeply rewarding.  This workshop is designed for therapists ready to enhance their ability to work effectively with distressed couples.
Successful Couples Therapy begins with the therapist’s ability to see the couples dance, assess areas of impasse, as well as strengths and develop a clear and focused approach to the work.  The therapist must have the ability to evoke and work with their deepest emotions, feelings and fears, while also managing the session to create a sense of safety and hope.

We will highlight working with betrayals, attachment injuries, infidelity and sexual struggles.  In addition to de-escalating conflict, it’s imperative to actively help couples rebuild their bond and sense of connection.

This conference will utilize lecture, videotapes, role-play and experiential exercises.
