EFCT Externship with Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen

Ready to deepen your work with couples or begin your journey in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy?

Join EFT Tampa Bay January 4–7, 2027 for a four-day, in-person EFCT Externship with ICEEFT Certified Trainer Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen.

This foundational training offers a comprehensive introduction to the EFCT model, with a focus on attachment science and the experiential and systemic approach to couple therapy. Participants will learn the EFT roadmap, develop skills in the five moves of the EFT Tango, and explore interventions designed to help couples change negative interactional patterns and create new emotional experiences.

The training will also address common blocks and impasses in couple therapy and help participants strengthen their ability to build an engaged, open, and collaborative alliance with clients.

The EFCT Externship is the first step in formal EFCT training and the EFCT certification pathway. Whether EFT is new to you or you’re ready to deepen your understanding of the model, we’d love to have you join us in Tampa Bay.

About Our Trainer

Dr. Rebecca “Becca” Jorgensen is an ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer who completed her advanced EFT training with Dr. Sue Johnson and has spent years training therapists in EFT throughout the U.S. and internationally. She brings together extensive experience as both a clinician and educator, with a particular passion for helping therapists become more effective and confident in their work with couples.

Continuing Education

Prerequisites & Sequence

ICEEFT recommends taking Fundamentals of EFT prior to this course. There are no prerequisites for an EFCT Externship.

EFCT Core Skills follows an Externship. EFT Tampa Bay will be offering Core Skills in Spring 2027.
