Overview

Real intimacy is more than physical, but great sex doesn’t thrive without it. In most relationships, erotic passion and emotional closeness begin together, then drift apart over time. What starts as spontaneous and connected can become routine, pressured, or absent altogether.

CoupleStrong Sex: Where Emotional Closeness Meets Erotic Passion explores how couples can reignite both connection and desire — not by chasing novelty, but by deepening emotional safety, vulnerability, and playful exploration.

In this powerful 90-minute webinar, Chris Cambas, MA, LMFT, draws on decades of clinical experience and the latest research in attachment, neuroscience, and relational psychology to reveal how couples can sustain erotic energy within the context of emotional commitment.

You’ll learn how to bridge the gap between love and lust, security and spontaneity, and how to rebuild sexual vitality as an expression of trust, curiosity, and shared meaning.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  •  Understand the neuroscience of sexual desire — how emotional safety and erotic novelty interact in the brain.
  •  Differentiate between affectionate intimacy and erotic connection, and why both are necessary for a fulfilling relationship.
  •  Identify emotional, psychological, and relational blocks to passion, including resentment, performance anxiety, and disconnection.
  •  Learn practical exercises for fostering sensual awareness, curiosity, and communication about needs and desires.
  •  Apply attachment-based frameworks to help couples transform emotional closeness into erotic connection.
  •  Support couples in redefining sex as a language of emotional trust and renewal, not performance or obligation.
  •  Integrate techniques that help couples reawaken passion through presence, humor, and emotional attunement.

About the Presenter

Chris Cambas, MA, LMFT, is a Certified Gottman Therapist, clinical sex therapist, and co-founder of CoupleStrong and National Marriage Seminars of America.

With more than two decades of experience helping couples rebuild trust, intimacy, and passion, Chris blends research-based science with compassion and humor. His work integrates attachment theory, neuroscience, and the emotional systems that sustain desire and connection.

He has trained thousands of therapists nationwide and guided countless couples toward rekindling their physical and emotional intimacy.

Why This Webinar Matters

Sexual connection is one of the most vulnerable expressions of love — and one of the first casualties of stress, resentment, or emotional distance. But when couples understand how emotional and erotic systems work together, passion becomes less about spontaneity and more about intention — choosing to stay curious about each other over a lifetime.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Reignite desire by rebuilding emotional safety.
  • Explore sensuality and curiosity without shame.
  • Reframe intimacy as a creative, evolving process of discovery.

Because real passion doesn’t fade — it’s rebuilt through awareness, trust, and playfulness.
